Founded in 2018, XYW focuses on small appliances, daily goods and smart products. We design for manufacturability, for shelf impact, and for genuine user delight — not just design awards.
Serving leading small-appliance and consumer brands since 2018.
From smart shoe dryers to bestselling bottles — products that move off shelves.
Every design is original, with clear IP ownership and infringement safeguards.
ID and structural engineering move in lockstep — less rework, faster time-to-market.
Pricing depends on product complexity, structural difficulty, number of design rounds and deliverables. A typical ID-only project starts in the ¥30K-80K range. Complex smart products or multi-round exploration projects are quoted individually. Share your brief for a tailored quote.
ID-only: 4-8 weeks (research, sketching, 3D modeling, rendering). Full ID + MD: 8-14 weeks, including structural engineering, DFM and factory handover. Urgent projects can be parallelized, but prototype validation time should not be compressed.
Standard deliverables: concept sketches, orthographic views, high-fidelity renderings (multi-angle + scene), CMF specifications, editable 3D files (STP/IGS). With MD: structural drawings, assembly diagrams, tooling feasibility review, and physical prototype.
No. Industrial Design (ID) solves "how it looks and feels" — form, CMF, interaction. Mechanical Design (MD) solves "how it's built" — internal layout, part breakdown, tooling. Mature projects run ID + MD in parallel to avoid costly rework.
Yes. We provide factory liaison and prototype supervision — DFM review, supplier recommendations, first-article approval, tooling follow-up. If you have a factory, we work directly with their engineers. If not, we match you with vetted suppliers across the Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area appliance supply chain.
Yes. Design fees go to the design firm (covering ID/MD work). Tooling fees go to the injection molding or die-casting factory (for production molds). They are separate line items. We help you estimate tooling costs but do not mark them up.
We run patent clearance and global competitor scans before finalizing. Clients receive original design declarations and full IP ownership, eligible to file design patents. All work is original — no templates or third-party assets.
A good appliance design must satisfy three layers: commercial (sells, stands out on shelf, healthy margins), user (intuitive, fits the scenario), engineering (manufacturable, stable yield, cost-controlled). Pretty but un-tooleable is not good design.
Three category strengths: (1) smart personal care (ultrasonic cleaners, shoe dryers, clothes dryers); (2) household protection (electric mosquito swatters, incl. our signature mecha-style line); (3) measurement & tools (infrared thermometers, paint thickness gauges). All with proven market launches.
Depends on cadence: 10+ new SKUs per year → in-house wins on unit cost. 1-5 new SKUs per year → agency wins on total cost, fresher perspective, avoided design stagnation. Most SMB brands run "internal PM + external design firm".
